Chicago Ice Cream Shop Gets Creative with Duck Poop Flavored Ice Cream

CHICAGO, IL - Swirls Ice Creamery, a small locally owned ice cream shop in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood, has launched what may be the most unique flavor yet: Duck Poop flavored ice cream.

The limited-edition flavor features notes of cocoa, oats, maple, and almond to capture the essence of duck droppings without any actual duck poop ingredients. In true tongue-in-cheek fashion, however, the colorful yellow and green packaging features illustrations of ducks and their little "gifts."

"We wanted to create an ice cream that would get people talking and laughing," said store owner Ava Jackson. "Duck poop flavor may sound gross at first, but once people try it they are surprised at how delicious it actually is. It has become a favorite among both kids and adults alike."

The quirky new flavor falls in line with the store's mission of injecting imagination, fun, and joy through their ice cream creations. Past customer favorites include Unicorn Tears, Cookie Dough Overload, and Existential Crisis flavors.

"There is enough stress and seriousness in the world already, we wanted to give people an excuse to unleash their silly and playful side again, even for just a few minutes," Ava Jackson said.

Duck Poop flavored ice cream is available now through the end of July for $5.99 per pint at Swirls Ice Creamery's Logan Square location.
